Training Notes
The Chubbuck Method places strong emphasis on personal exploration. Actors will be encouraged to draw on material from their own lives—past, present, and even imagined futures. While sharing remains within your own comfort level, the more personal truth you bring, the more compelling your performances will become.
This is a rehearsal-based method: actors are expected to rehearse at least 6 hours per week (preferably in person, with Zoom as an alternative). Class time is dedicated to refining and elevating the work—not beginning it.
Additional details:
• An interview is required before joining.
• Instruction will be in English; scenes may be performed in English or Arabic.
• The course may be taken multiple times, with new growth each month.
• A monthly seminar/introduction session is held to familiarize students with the Chubbuck Technique. Attendance is mandatory at least once, unless you have already read The Power of the Actor.
